Seit 1992 - Angegliedert an die Kieferorthopädische Abteilung der Universität Aahrus, Dänemark, an der er als Gastdozent im Postgraduate Programm lehrt. Seit 1993 - Teilzeit-Assistenzprofessor an der Kieferorthopädischen Abteilung der Universität Siena, Italien. 1998-1999 - Generalsekretär der Italienischen Gesellschaft für Kieferorthopädie. 1999-2002 - Vizepräsident der Italienischen Gesellschaft für kieferorthopädische Biomechanik. Seit 2011 - Angegliedert an die Kieferorthopädische Abteilung der University of Buffalo USA, an der er als Gastdozent lehrt. Seit 2001 Professor Fachschule Kieferorthopädie Universität Siena - Italien 2002-2013 - Verantwortlich für das Postgraduate-Programm “Erwachsenenkieferortopädie” der Universität Siena, Italien Seit 2013 - Verantwortlich für Erwachsenenbehandlungen an der Kieferorthopädischen Abteilung der Universitätspital Siena, Italien. Seit 1994 gibt er Privatkurse in kieferorthopädischer Biomechanik in Italien Seit 2001 gibt er Privatkurse auch ausser Italien (US, Deutschland, Polen und Portugal) Seit 2013 - Leiter der “International Orthodontic Biomechanics School”, die ein intensives Fünf-Wochen-Programm organisiert, an der Kieferorthopäden aus der ganzen Welt teilnehmen. Seit 2008 Private Praxis in Florenz bei Dr.Paoleschi Seit 2015 Private Praxis in Richterswil (ZH) bei Dr Stutz Seit 2016 Private Praxis in Lugano (TI) bei Dr Merlo WISSENSCHAFTLICHE ARBEIT Beruflichen Schwerpunkte: kieferorthopädische Biomechanik, Computereinsatz in der Kieferorthopädischen Praxis (insbesondere in Bezug auf Mechanikdesign und Behandlungsplanung), Segmentbogentechnik und Kieferorthopädische Behandlung von Erwachsenen. Veröffentlichtung von circa 30 wissenschaftlichen Artikeln auf den o.g. Gebieten. (AJODO, JCO, PIO, WJO) Veröffentlichtung zusammen mit Prof. Birte Melsen des Multimedia-Software “Biomechanics in Orthodontics”, zurzeit in der 4. Ausgabe,. Co-Autor von zwei Kapiteln des Buchs “Adult Orthodontics” editiert von Birte Melsen (2013), und des Buchs “Orthodontic Pearls” editiert von Prof. Larry White(2013). Currently in Arezzo, Florence (I) Richterswil - ZH and Lugano (CH) Professor at the orthodontic department of the University of Siena from 1993 where he has been responsible for adult orthodontic treatments. Affiliated to the orthodontic department of University of Aarhus, Denmark, where he has been involved in the short term and post graduate teaching, since 1992. Affiliated to the orthodontic department of the University of Buffalo USA, where he has been teaching from 2011 to 2014. Secretary General of the Italian Orthodontic society in the years 98-99. Vice- president of Italian Society of of Orthodontic Biomechanics in the years 1999-2002. His main professional interests are: orthodontic biomechanics, use of computer within the orthodontic practice (especially related to mechanics design and treatment planning), segmented arch technique and adult orthodontic treatment. He has published about 30 papers about the above mentioned fields. Has co-published with Prof. Birte Melsen the “Biomechanics in Orthodontics” multimedia software , presently at release 4. Co-writer in two chapters of the book “Adult Orthodontics” edited by Birte Melsen, and in the book orthodontic Pearls, edited by Larry White. Author of the chapter “Statically Determined Appliances and Creative Mechanics” in the textbook “The Biomechanical Foundation of Clinical Orthodontics” edited by Prof. Burstone and Choy. Invited speaker at meetings of American, European, Italian, Japanese, Australian, Finnish, Greek and Greater Dallas orthodontic societies. Has lectured about biomechanics at the universities of Aarhus – Denmark, Edmonton - Canada, Baylor – Dallas, New York (NYU and Columbia), Buffalo, Philadelphia and Chicago. USA, Berlin Humboldt – Germany, Basel and Zurich, Switzerland and several Italian schools. He was responsible for “Adult orthodontics” postgraduate program at the University of Siena, Italy 2002 to 2013. He currently holds private courses of biomechanics in Italy, Poland and Portugal, and is head of the International Orthodontic Biomechanics School, which organizes an intensive five weeks program attended by orthodontists worldwide.
